The photographs snap the temples, towers and statues left over from the ancient kingdom of Champa, which were taken by President of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee Geetesh Sharma during his visits to Vietnam.

Focusing on historical traces of the ancient kingdom of Champa people in the central region of Vietnam stretching from Quang Nam to Binh Thuan provinces, the pictures show a link between the ancient cultures of India and Vietnam nearly 2,000 years ago.

In his opening speech, Governor of the West Bengal State M.K Narayanan noted that the exhibition brings the Vietnamese and Indian peoples closer.

President of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee Geetesh Sharma said the exhibition offers an opportunity for young people to know better about cultural similarities shared by the two countries.
